Recognizing Our Departments

Awards are given out to Fire Departments that have had long-standing programs using National Fire Safety Council, Inc. materials and the Firepup^® character.

An initial award is in the form of an engraved plaque. For additional years of service, programs are presented with adhesive tabs to be placed on their current plaque. Quite often a new plaque is presented representing 5 years, 10 years, etc. of community service using our programs.

These plaques are proudly displayed on department office walls and in their lobbies.

Our coordinators also give out community service sponsor awards to businesses that have given significant contributions. These certificates are proudly displayed so patrons can see that a contribution has been given to the local community’s fire safety program.
